Gundruk is a social media and social connection app. Because the app is built around sharing posts, photos, reels, and connecting with other people, some information you provide is shared with other users by design. This policy explains what that means.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information so the app can function:
- Account information: your email address, username, full name, and password (passwords are securely encrypted and never visible to us).
- Profile information: profile photo, bio, pronouns, zodiac sign, relationship status, and any other details you choose to add to your profile.
- Content you create: posts, photos, videos/reels, comments, reactions, confessions, messages, stories, and any other content you share in the app.
- Connection information: who you follow, who follows you, couple links with a partner, matches, and similar relationship/connection data.
- Location information: a general location (such as a city) if you choose to add it to your profile or content. We do not track your precise real-time GPS location in the background.
- Usage information: basic technical data needed to run the app, such as device type and app activity.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Display your profile, posts, and content to you and to other users.
- Enable core features such as posting, commenting, following, matching, couple linking, and confessions.
- Send you in-app notifications (such as when someone comments on or reacts to your content).
- Keep the app safe, prevent abuse, and enforce our rules.
3. Information Shared With Other Users
Gundruk is a social app, so some information is visible to others by design:
- Your username, profile photo, bio, and public profile details are visible to other users.
- Public posts, reels, comments, and reactions are visible to other users.
- Confessions and couple content may be shown to other users according to the visibility settings of that feature.
Please only share content you are comfortable with others seeing. You control what you post.
4. How Your Information Is Stored
Your information is stored securely using trusted third-party infrastructure providers, including Supabase (database and authentication) and cloud hosting services. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
5. Third-Party Services
Gundruk uses certain third-party services to provide features such as music, media, and authentication. These services may process limited data needed to deliver their functionality. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update: you can view and edit your profile information at any time in the app.
- Delete your content: you can delete posts, reels, comments, and other content you have created.
- Delete your account: you can delete your account and associated personal data. To request account deletion, use the account deletion option in the app or contact us at the email below.
7. Children's Privacy
Gundruk is not intended for children. You must meet the minimum age required in your country to use the app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the required age. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
